Script text:
'Shall you roll the dice, or should I?'
Casting Decisions
There are Two main characters in our opening sequence:
- One character is the mysterious Villain played by Joe Wingfield.
- We chose him to play the male villain as he has the right look for a mysterious villain and as the opening reveals little about the character he has the characteristics to make the audience ask questions as to who the character is.
- The other character in the opening is the victim, called Lucy Randle, played by Rachel LLoyd.
- we chose her to play this character as she has had previous experience in acting within the film industry and due to this character being the main character always seen throughout the opening we thought previous experience is essential for this character.
There are two characters within the opening sequence:
- The first is a male villain, his full identity is never shown in the opening sequence and will always be dressed in dark clothing with only a little bit of his facial expression being shown. we decided to do this in order to create suspense and tension for the audience.
- The other character will be a female victim, who during the opening sequence we see taking part in the game, roll the dice. This character will be fully introduced to the audience and contributes to giving the audience clues as to who the male character is and what is going on in the game. The character will be dressed in white to symbolise peacefulness and innocence which is contradicted during the opening sequence.
