Roll The Dice Title Plan
Here is a plan for the opening sequence title;
Here is a shot of the films title, 'Roll The Dice'. We used the Red colour to show the feelings of the characters and also highlight the horror theme of the opening sequence. we applied the font colour to a font downloaded from da font, the font was called, Blood crow. we think this is a good font as it shows a good example of horror and makes the sequence look more intense and secretive.
Here is an example of a title with the casting name in it. we will again use the same font and colour so the opening sequence flows. In terms of the positioning of the titles it will always be in the lower right or left of the shot whilst an action takes place on the screen. The titles in this sequence will also fade in and out to show.
The order of the titles will also fit the the typical conventions of an opening sequence as they will follow the typical layout and order of the titles that appear during the typical opening of a horror genre film.
Location Permission
Here is the agreement form, which we need to create in order to allow us to film. This agreement if accepted will allow us to film in our chosen location with the crops we want to use. Additionally we need added the dates and our shooting schedule so the the owners know our timing plan. Here is the location permission letter:

Script Plan
Our opening sequence has very few speech so instead of creating a script we made a video to show what the whole plan will look. Additionally the video will allow us to get a better understanding of how the particular section could sound and allow us to change them if we need to;
Script text:
'Shall you roll the dice, or should I?'

Script text:
'Shall you roll the dice, or should I?'
Casting Decisions
There are Two main characters in our opening sequence:
- One character is the mysterious Villain played by Joe Wingfield.
- We chose him to play the male villain as he has the right look for a mysterious villain and as the opening reveals little about the character he has the characteristics to make the audience ask questions as to who the character is.
- The other character in the opening is the victim, called Lucy Randle, played by Rachel LLoyd.
- we chose her to play this character as she has had previous experience in acting within the film industry and due to this character being the main character always seen throughout the opening we thought previous experience is essential for this character.
There are two characters within the opening sequence:
- The first is a male villain, his full identity is never shown in the opening sequence and will always be dressed in dark clothing with only a little bit of his facial expression being shown. we decided to do this in order to create suspense and tension for the audience.
- The other character will be a female victim, who during the opening sequence we see taking part in the game, roll the dice. This character will be fully introduced to the audience and contributes to giving the audience clues as to who the male character is and what is going on in the game. The character will be dressed in white to symbolise peacefulness and innocence which is contradicted during the opening sequence.
Storyboard for Opening Sequence
Here is our storyboard for our opening sequence; 'Roll the dice':
The storyboard allows us to create our initial plans in a visual way. Additionally it can make us frame the sequence better when it comes to shooting the actual opening sequence. We also then used these pictures to create a video which allowed us to have a better understanding of what the sequence looks, and can allow us to change accordingly.
Opening Sequence- Anamatic
Here is our storyboard of the soundtrack we want to use in our opening sequence. we made this to give us a rough idea as to how the opening sequence will work and what the opening sequence will look like. it also allows us to identify any problems and allows us to change these in the shooting of the sequence.

props and location
Here are the props we are planning to use in the opening sequence:

Here are the props we have used in the creation of our film:
Here are the dice to be used in the opening. These are important as this is what the main theme of the opening is based around. the dice are also going to be shown in more than one shot and also with the title. the dice will also, when rolled have hyperbolic sound of dice rolling.
Here are the knifes we are going to use, we chose to use these as we think it shows relevance to the opening sequence and the theme we are aiming for from the opening.
Here is the shoe we are going to use. It shows that someone has been there and it encourages the audience to watch on and see what has happened and who it belongs to.
Here is the rope used in the opening. it is tied around someones hands, which as the audience don't know who's until the next shot which reveals the answers.
Costume
Here is the costume we have decided to use its white and shows the characters innocence.
Location
We are filming the opening in a Shed and in a bathroom, this relates well to the horror as its scary and unique.
